As a financial institution is legitimate if banking oriented performance improvement or business, but today the main purpose of a bank is not only limited to these functions but rather leads to the fact that financial institutions are able to participate in the economic growth of the nation

Based on the consideration that the PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk and Airlangga University agreed to hold the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve function in the community.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding which directly performed by the Director of Bank Jatim Hadi Sukrianto and Rector Prof. Dr. H. Fasich was conducted in the Department of Management Campus C Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya (3/7).

"To further enhance the cooperation between the two sides need to do some signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding in order to provide benefits to the community," said Hadi.

As an institution of higher learning that upholds the value of Tri Dharma, the memorandum of understanding is not independent of the implementation of Tri Dharma is in the field of education, research and community service.

"In supporting the achievement of the vision and mission, business target, as well as functions to the community by cooperating with educational institutions such as Airlangga University entered into a collaboration in our opinion is very appropriate, as well as in line with our goals, educational institutions and research methods would have a measurable could be useful to us in developing the business into a better future, " Hadi explained.

It is expected from the Memorandum of Understanding that has been signed both sides of this, there will be continued cooperation on areas that benefit society in general and Bank Jatim in particular. (pr/med)
