HIGHLIGHT
- Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation in June 2024 remains maintained within the target range of 2.5 ± 1%. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, CPI inflation in June 2024 recorded deflation of 0.08% (mtm), so that on an annual basis it decreased to 2.51% (yoy) from the previous month's realization of 2.84% (yoy).
- Indonesia's trade balance surplus in May 2024 increased to 2.93 billion US dollars, higher than the surplus in April 2024 of 2.72 billion US dollars.
- The rupiah exchange rate closed at IDR 16,370/US$ in the last trade last week, Friday (28/6/2024). In the past week the rupiah exchange rate strengthened 0.46%.
- The Bank Indonesia Board of Governors (RDG) meeting on 19-20 June 2024 decided to maintain the BI-Rate at 6.25%, the Deposit Facility interest rate at 5.50%, and the Lending Facility interest rate at 7.00%..
