Responding to Dark Web Data Allegations, Bank Jatim Coordinates with BSSN

SURABAYA, June 14, 2026 – In response to information circulating on social media regarding the alleged publication of data associated with PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim), Bank Jatim's management stated that the company has responded promptly and proactively through internal investigation measures and coordination with relevant parties.
Bank Jatim Corporate Secretary, Fenty Rischana K, explained that Bank Jatim has conducted an investigation into the sample data published on a dark web forum. Based on the findings obtained thus far, Bank Jatim has found no indication of any data breach or cyberattack targeting its internal systems. Furthermore, the characteristics of the data being circulated do not indicate any connection to customers’ transaction data or the company’s banking service credentials.
"As part of our comprehensive response efforts, we have coordinated and shared information through the Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing (CTIS) Platform managed by the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), as well as with other relevant stakeholders, to support further investigation and validation processes. Based on our investigation to date, there is no indication that the circulating data originated from Bank Jatim’s systems or services," said Fenty.
These measures have been undertaken to ensure that all response processes are carried out in accordance with applicable cybersecurity standards. Fenty added that the investigation remains ongoing. Bank Jatim will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates to the public if necessary.
