Synergy with Ponorogo Regency Government, Bank Jatim Structuring the Square

PONOROGO, May 28, 2024. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Ponorogo Regency Government on Tuesday (28/5). The assistance provided was the arrangement of the west side of the square in the form of pedestrian sidewalks in Ponorogo Regency. Located at the Ponorogo Regent Office House, the CSR handover was carried out symbolically by bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman to Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko.

Busrul explained, with CSR assistance from bankjatim, it is hoped that it can beautify the square which is the center of the crowd in the middle of the city. So, it can be a special attraction for people who pass through it, both from inside and outside the city of Ponorogo. “With the arrangement of the west side of the square in the form of a pedestrian sidewalk, the Ponorogo square which has been the heart of the local community will have a new, more charming look. Hopefully, Ponorogo can continue to develop into a beautiful and increasingly organized district,” he said.

According to Busrul, bankjatim's support for the Ponorogo Regency Government is not only in terms of beautifying the city, but BJTM is also committed to continuing to synergize with the Regency Government in order to realize the economic progress of the community. In addition to the submission of CSR, on this occasion there was also a symbolic handover of the Regional Government Credit Card (KKPD) which is useful for making payments for expenditures charged to the APBD. “We hope that the KKPD in Ponorogo Regency can reduce idle cash from the use of work unit inventory money, increase security, reduce fraud potential, and minimize the use of cash,” said Busrul.

In addition, bankjatim together with the Ponorogo Regency Government have also launched PBB payments through Agent Jatim. Busrul explained, Agent Jatim is an officeless financial service to increase financial inclusion in the community. Various kinds of banking transactions can be carried out through Jatim Agents which have spread in various villages throughout East Java. Such as fund transfers, cash deposits and withdrawals, to bill payments.

“Agent Jatim is very useful to maximize banking services for areas that have great business potential. In addition to contributing to the utility of banking transactions, Agent Jatim also has an impact on the growth of lending, especially through the referral method. Hopefully bankjatim's cooperation with the Ponorogo Regency Government can continue to be well established, “said Busrul.

As for the first quarter of 2024, Agent Jatim successfully grew 137.28 percent (YoY) to 8,815 users with a nominal transaction of IDR 18.78 billion.
