Support Tahfidz Al-Quran, Bank Jatim Give Santri Savings to 39 Students

LAMONGAN, January 22, 2024. In order to support and motivate the community and the younger generation in producing the next generation of memorizers of the Qur'an, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk or bankjatim together with the East Java Provincial Government attended the Graduation of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Lamongan Movement Memorizing Al-Qur'an Year 2024 on Monday (22/1). Located at the Lamongan Regency Hall, the activity was attended by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Lamongan Regent Yuhronur Efendi, and President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman.
Not just present, on that occasion bankjatim also gave appreciation in the form of santri savings to 39 students with the title of mumtaz / special (value 100). Each student received Rp 1 million. Busrul explained, as the bank of East Java arek-arek, bankjatim will always continue to support efforts to develop moral human resources, including in the field of education and fostering faith and piety for Muslims in East Java, including in Lamongan. "Development in the field of education cannot be done by the government alone, everything must collaborate. Therefore, we are grateful to be given the opportunity to support this graduation activity," said Busrul.
He added, in addition to increasing enthusiasm and movitation, the Graduation of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Lamongan Movement Memorizing Al-Qur'an Year 2024 will also be a matter of pride for parents who have succeeded in fostering their children to become a hafizh hafizhah. "Congratulations to all graduates. Hopefully, today's graduation can be an encouragement for everyone to be able to continue to increase their memorization of the Koran and be a blessing for all of us," Busrul said.
Lamongan Regent Yuhronur Efendi added that the Quran recitation and memorization program is part of an extraordinary program for the community. "We hope that this 6th Al-Qur'an Tahfidz Graduation activity will provide a great gift for Lamongan Regency and East Java in building a better Indonesia, and presenting a harmonious Islamic generation through the Lamongan Movement to Memorize the Al-Qur'an," he said.
Meanwhile, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa also asked the Quran memorizers (hafiz and hafizah) not to stop learning. In addition to memorizing the Quran, they also need to learn about science and technology. "Support for Quran memorizers is quite large. The proof is that there are a lot of scholarships given. A number of campuses have also offered scholarships for hafiz and hafizah," she explained.
Therefore, Khofifah advised the graduates to continue to maintain the character and morals of the nation. The way is by continuing to practice the knowledge they already have. "This is important so that the character and morality of the younger generation is maintained from the onslaught of values that are contrary to Islam and humanity," she concluded.
