SURABAYA, NOVEMBER 10, 2023. Thanks to the performance of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) which continues to consistently record positive growth, the issuer with the code BJTM won the Most Expansive Regional Bank In Micro and SME Lending category award in the Road To CNBC Indonesia Awards 2023 Best Regional Banks event. Organized in a hybrid manner, the prestigious award was received directly by bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman via zoom on Friday (10/11). The awarding featured actors in the regional banking sector who were able to overcome various challenges amid economic uncertainty.
According to Busrul, it is undeniable that bankjatim is now constantly transforming in order to improve the company's business and provide the best service to all its customers. With various transformations that have been carried out, bankjatim's performance in the third quarter of 2023 is increasingly moncer. "Until the third quarter of 2023, we managed to book assets of Rp 107 trillion, profit of Rp 1.09 trillion, and credit of Rp 51.7 trillion. For our credit rose 12.61 percent compared to the same period last year (YoY)," Busrul said.
Bankjatim's highest credit growth occurred in the productive sector (commercial and SME) by 25.44% (YoY) and the consumer sector by 4.74% (YoY). "Financing for businesses must be facilitated as much as possible in order to create new jobs. The potential is also large because every year the number of business actors continues to grow. The growth of lending is a reflection of the running economy and indicates an increase in demand for goods and services from the community," Busrul said.
Meanwhile, Busrul also expressed his deepest gratitude to CNBC for the award given to bankjatim.
