Improve public health, Bank Jatim handed over 168 Jambanization assistance

KEDIRI, May 22, 2024. In order to improve public health, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) again handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance as a form of corporate social responsibility to the surrounding environment. This time, assistance in the form of 168 healthy latrines (jambanisasi) was given to the Government of Kediri Regency (Pemkab). Hundreds of healthy latrines were symbolically handed over by SEVP Corporate Transformation bankjatim Budi Sumarsono to Deputy Regent of Kediri Dewi Maria Ulfa on Wednesday (22/5).

President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman explained, the purpose of giving hundreds of latrines was to make it easier for people to achieve access to adequate sanitation and hygiene, especially for people from the poor. So that in the future it can improve the standard of healthy living of the people in Kediri Regency.

"Actually this program aims to help underprivileged citizens, considering that latrines are an important means in the household to support the realization of a clean and healthy environment. We really hope that this latrine assistance will increase public awareness of environmental hygiene, which in turn can improve public health and reduce the risk of disease transmission," he said.

According to Busrul again, the latrine assistance can be the first step towards a better change to improve the quality of life of the community. "Everyone must join hands, it can't be done by the government alone. Let us all unite to create a better future for future generations. Therefore, the active involvement of various parties is expected to have a real and positive impact in advancing the welfare of the people in Kediri. And hopefully bankjatim's cooperation with Kediri Regency can continue to run well and be a blessing for all," he explained.

Meanwhile, Dewi Maria Ulfa expressed her deepest gratitude to bankjatim for this CSR program that really helped the people of Kediri. She hopes that this program will continue in the future. Because, social assistance such as latrines is very useful in helping to improve the health and welfare of the community, "he said.
