Enhancing Community Welfare: Bank Jatim Delivers CSR to Kediri Regency Government

SURABAYA, February 25, 2025. As a form of the company's social responsibility to the surrounding environment, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) has officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to the Kediri Regency Government. Several types of assistance were provided, namely 30 units of Chromebooks for 10 schools, the rehabilitation of 10 uninhabitable houses (RTLH), and the procurement of supporting equipment for 60 MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) actors. Located at the Kediri Regency Regional Secretariat Building, the CSR handover was symbolically presented by the Head of Bank Jatim Pare Branch, Siti Koyunah, to the Regional Secretary of Kediri Regency, Mohamad Solikin, on Tuesday (25/2).
The President Director of Bank Jatim, Busrul Iman, explained that the CSR assistance provided by Bank Jatim is part of an effort to encourage local economic growth and improve community welfare. "This assistance is a form of our love and concern for the people of Kediri Regency who have given their trust and support to Bank Jatim in developing its business, especially in the education sector, MSME empowerment, and community welfare, and so that it can be an inspiration and bring a positive impact to the surrounding environment," he elaborated.
The objectives of distributing the Chromebook assistance include providing better access to technology for students in schools, encouraging mastery of technology and innovation skills, and improving the quality of education. Furthermore, the RTLH assistance is expected to provide decent housing for the community and improve the degree of health and quality of life of the community. "In addition, Bank Jatim continues to aggressively promote the progress of Kediri's MSMEs in order to realize community welfare. This is because Bank Jatim does not only provide capital but also participates in providing mentoring, training, and assistance for MSMEs so that these business actors are able to be competitive and elevate their business level," he asserted.
According to Busrul, the distribution of the assistance is also one of Bank Jatim's efforts to realize sustainable development. "Bank Jatim will continue to be committed to supporting the policies of the Kediri Regency Government and will always participate in supporting the Kediri Regency Government to realize a more advanced and successful Kediri," he stated.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Solikin expressed his highest appreciation to Bank Jatim for the assistance provided. He also thanked Bank Jatim for the synergy that has been established so far in supporting government programs. "All parties must indeed collaborate and synergize to realize community welfare. Hopefully, this cooperation will continue and bring blessings to all," he concluded.
