JAKARTA, DECEMBER 4, 2023. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) was successfully awarded two awards at the TOP Digital Awards 2023 event held by IT Works Magazine. The two awards achieved were as Top Digital Implementation 2023 #star5 and Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2023 which was given to the President Director of bankjatim Busrul Iman. Located at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta, the award was received by the Director of IT and Digital bankjatim Zulhelfi Abidin and SEVP Consumer Banking bankjatim Hermita on Monday night (4/12).
Zulhelfi explained, Top Digital Implementation 2023 #star5 given to bankjatim because bankjatim is considered to have IT Governance (policy, organization, implementation of systems and procedures) that are outstanding and run consistently with continuous improvement. Then, bankjatim is also considered successful in terms of implementing digital technology and its use is very effective in all divisions / work units so that it has a significant impact on performance, competitiveness, and customer / community service.
"We have a digital technology supporting infrastructure that has been adapted to current needs and will continue to be developed in order to provide the best service for customers," he said. The success of bankjatim in achieving this award is not only an achievement, but also an important momentum in motivating continuous improvement. The goal is to realize a more inclusive and quality financial system for all the people of Indonesia, especially East Java.
According to Zulhelfi, it is undeniable that digital technology is currently the main requirement in all lines of business, including banking. Therefore, bankjatim continues to make various innovations and transformations for the development of digital technology with JConnect. "Now there is JConnect PRO (Online Account Opening) which allows prospective customers not to come to the office, JConnect Remittance to send money in the form of foreign exchange from abroad to domestic or vice versa, E-Loan, Jconnect Regional Government, Jconnect UMKM, to Jconnect Corporate," he said.
For JConnect itself, until the third quarter of 2023 managed to score positive growth. JConnect Mobile users have reached 606,239 users or grew 30% (YoY). Meanwhile, the number of transactions was at Rp 3.3 trillion, up 35% compared to the third quarter of 2022 (YoY). Furthermore, JConnect IB Corporate users were at 7,934 or up 29% (YoY) with a total transaction of Rp 1.03 trillion. Then, the number of Jatim Agents during the third quarter of 2023 amounted to 6,221 users or grew 112% (YoY) with a total transaction of Rp 9.3 billion.
Bankjatim's own QRIS merchants have reached 111,651 users with total transactions of Rp 51 billion or grew 137% over the same period last year (YoY). JConnect Loan also grew positively and has been used to process 16,100 credit approvals from 21,400 credit applications.
With the development of technology that is very rapid and continues to grow rapidly, continued Zulhelfi, bankjatim is required to be able to follow technological advances in the banking sector in order to meet the needs of services for the community, villages, and district governments. Therefore, bankjatim has now also cooperated with each local government / municipality in East Java in terms of facilitating online payments. Such as paying taxes can already be online, implementing BI-Fast, Electronification of Local Government Transactions (ETPD), e-samsat, to Local Government Credit Cards (KKPD).
