JAKARTA, NOVEMBER 23, 2023. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) again won a prestigious award. This time, the issuer with the code BJTM managed to become a winner in the CSA Awards 2023 for the category The Best Innovation in Regional Banking. Located at Menara 165 Granada Ballroom Jakarta, the award was received by bankjatim Corporate Secretary Wioga Adhiarma Aji on Thursday (11/23).

CSA Awards is an awarding event organized by the Indonesian Securities Analyst Association (AAEI) and CSA Community. This award is given to issuers that meet the criteria based on positive performance measured from various aspects. With a focus as a form of dedication from AAEI and CSA Community to build a sustainable Indonesian capital market and build trust for investors, CSA Awards is present as a platform to give appreciation to issuers.
Bankjatim President Director Busrul Iman expressed his deepest gratitude for the award given to the company. "This award will certainly further motivate us to continue to innovate and improve the competitiveness, service, and performance of the company on an ongoing basis to support the growth of the economy. We hope that the award from CSA Awards can increase investor confidence in bankjatim's business performance going forward," he said.
Busrul explained that the award for The Best Innovation in Regional Banking category achieved by the company cannot be separated from the five pillars of transformation that have been implemented since this year in order to realize bankjatim's vision to become the number 1 BPD in Indonesia. "The five pillars of transformation include organizational transformation, human capital transformation, digital transformation, rule making rule transformation, and corporate action. All of this we do so that in every movement bankjatim ranging from services to products are always oriented towards the benefit and benefit of the community, "he explained.
Blessed by the transformation of the five pillars of transformation, bankjatim will become the number 1 BPD in Indonesia.Thanks to the transformation of the five pillars also up to the ninth month in 2023, bankjatim's performance showed positive numbers. Among other things, assets grew by 8.69% (YoY) or Rp 107 trillion with contributions from an increase in productive assets, namely ownership of securities which rose 10.29% (YoY), lending grew 12.61% (YoY) and management of the company's productive assets generated interest income that grew 3.8% (YoY) with a net profit in September 2023 of Rp 1.09 trillion.
Meanwhile, with the theme of growth to sustainability: navigating the capital markets, this year CSA Awards 2023 comes with a series of events. Among them are CSA Research Competition, Issuer Unboxing, and Market Outlook 2024. Chief Organizer of CSA Awards 2023 Haryajid Ramelan revealed, the background of this activity is because the increasing number of investors in the capital market is one proof that people are increasingly aware of the importance of investment in obtaining long-term profits. However, on the other hand, the challenge of dealing with uncertain global economic fluctuations is also getting bigger. Changes in political conditions and economic policies can pose a risk to capital market players.
"For this reason, we see the need for a forum for capital market players such as investors, issuers, academics, practitioners, and professionals to exchange information and knowledge to deal with current economic conditions. We hope that through this series of CSA Awards 2023 there will be synergistic and harmonious cooperation between stakeholders in the Indonesian capital market," he said.
