Bank Jatim Hands Over One Bus Unit to Untag Surabaya.

SURABAYA, March 25, 2025. In the framework of strengthening the bonds of synergy, on Tuesday (25/3), PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) and Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (Untag) Surabaya signed a Cooperation Agreement regarding bus fleet sponsorship. This serves as a form of support for the academic community's operations. Located at the Hallway of the R. Ing Soekonjono Building, Untag Surabaya, the activity was attended by Bank Jatim VP of Institutional Relations Agus Sastriono and the Chairman of the 17 Agustus 1945 Education Foundation (YPTA) Surabaya, J. Subekti.
Bank Jatim President Director Busrul Iman explained that the purpose of this cooperation is certainly to maintain and enhance the partnership relationship between Bank Jatim and Untag. The bus, which has been branded by Bank Jatim, will later be used by all employees and students under the auspices of YPTA Surabaya. Busrul expressed appreciation for Untag Surabaya's loyalty as a partner.
”The cooperation of Bank Jatim, which has been established since 1992 with Untag, is a matter of pride for us. Hopefully, this is not the last, but rather the beginning of a better collaboration. This cooperation shows Bank Jatim's commitment to supporting the world of education in East Java,” he said.
According to Busrul, the potential that can be developed between YPTA Surabaya and Bank Jatim includes increasing Third-Party Funds (DPK), especially from current accounts and time deposits. Furthermore, there are also opportunities to increase fee-based income through the application of VA (Virtual Accounts) for payments via Bank Jatim's e-channels up to credit financing for YPTA. ”We hope this cooperation continues to develop and brings positive benefits for both parties,” he said.
Meanwhile, J. Subekti expressed appreciation for Bank Jatim's support, which is not only limited to the handover of the bus but also reflects the spirit of togetherness in building the world of education. “We are proud of this cooperation. Untag Surabaya wants to continue to develop into a campus that enlightens the nation with the spirit of nationalism and patriotism," said Subekti.
He also added that Untag Surabaya greatly admires Bank Jatim's success in management and service. “We want to learn more so that these superior values can be applied at Untag Surabaya,” Subekti concluded.
