Bank Jatim Cooperate with PLN Insurance Related to Counter Bank Guarantee

SURABAYA, July 17, 2023. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk or bankjatim is increasingly aggressive in flapping its wings in order to achieve the expected business acceleration. Various innovations and collaborations continue to be encouraged. Evidently, on Monday, July 17, 2023, the signing of a cooperation agreement related to the counter bank guarantee between PT Asuransi Perisai Listrik Nasional (PLN Insurance) with bankjatim was carried out.
Located at the JW Marriot Hotel Surabaya, the signing was carried out directly by the President Director of PT Asuransi Perisai Listrik Nasional Moch. Hirmas Fuady and Director of IT and Digital bankjatim Zulhelfi Abidin.
Zulhelfi explained that the signing of this cooperation agreement is a tangible manifestation of bankjatim's synergy with PLN Insurance to support infrastructure development, especially within the State Electricity Company (PLN). In addition, this is a form of bankjatim's commitment that is always ready to provide support to business people, both in the field of lending or guarantee.
"This cooperation is very positive by looking at the potential of each party. Of course our goal is customer satisfaction. For the initial stage, this cooperation agreement has a period of three years and includes a counter bank guarantee. However, it does not rule out the possibility of expansion in the future. We also have many bank guarantee products," explained Zulhelfi. The bankjatim products related to Bank Guarantee include Bidding Guarantee, Appeal Disclaimer Guarantee, Implementation Guarantee, Advance Guarantee, Maintenance Guarantee, and Payment Guarantee.
His side asserted, in this cooperation or that will be done in the future, bankjatim will focus on cooperation that leads to digitalization. This also supports the ETPD (Electronification of Local Government Transactions) program which continues to be promoted by the Provincial Government, Regional Government, or City Government. "We hope that this collaboration can contribute to the business development of both organizations, to the development of customer business, and ultimately contribute to encouraging economic activity in Indonesia," said Zulhelfi.
He also hopes that this counter bank guarantee cooperation can be the first milestone and the main foundation for the welfare of the community. "We hope that on other occasions, there can be other forms of synergy between bankjatim and PLN Insurance," he said.
Moch Hirmas Fuady added, at the current PLN center, bankjatim is the only Regional Development Bank that has become a PLN partner. "Therefore we want to continue to cooperate with bankjatim which begins with this counter bank guarantee. In the future, other cooperation may be developed, such as customer insurance or other insurance products," he explained.
In addition, continued Hirmas, PLN Insurance is committed to continuing to improve its services. Because, an insurance is measured by the speed of claims. "That is the cooperation we will foster with bankjatim. We also direct PLN vendors to become bankjatim partners. Because after all, the project cannot be separated from the name of the loan. Well, we direct the loan to bankjatim, so this is a mutually beneficial cooperation," said Hirmas.
