Bank Jatim Channels CSR to Bawean Island to Boost Community Economy

BAWEAN, March 6, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) is increasingly vigorous in distributing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to various regions. After Lamongan and Malang, Bank Jatim is now once again handing over CSR on Bawean Island. The assistance provided is in the form of procurement of tents, three-wheeled vehicles, and embossed letters. Located at the Sangkapura District Square Pavilion, the CSR was symbolically handed over by Bank Jatim Corporate Communication AVP Mi’roj Subhanto to the Head of Sangkapura District Umar Junid and the Head of Tambak District Nur Syamsi on Thursday (6/3).
Bank Jatim President Director Busrul Iman explained that the several CSR items given are expected to have several benefits. Among others, assisting Sangkapura District in accommodating all general community and cross-sectoral community activities. Especially in terms of preparing facilities for events celebrating national and Islamic holidays.
Furthermore, it is also expected to be able to improve the community's economy through MSMEs, raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness, and enhance a sense of unity and mutual ownership among stakeholders in Tambak District.
”The handover of CSR like this is a routine program of Bank Jatim as a form of the company's social responsibility to the community. We hope that this assistance from Bank Jatim can be used as well as possible and be beneficial for the entire community on Bawean Island. We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Forkopimcam of Sangkapura and Tambak as well as the Bawean Island community who have been synergizing with Bank Jatim, both from the operational and community empowerment sides,” stated Busrul. According to Busrul, the distribution of the assistance is one of Bank Jatim’s efforts to realize sustainable development. ”Bank Jatim will continue to be committed to supporting the policies of the Gresik Regency Government, including the districts on Bawean Island, and will always take part in supporting the government to realize a Bawean Island that is increasingly prosperous, advanced, and successful,” he concluded.
