JAKARTA, January 23, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (bankjatim) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia regarding state cash management on Thursday (23/1). Located at the AA Maramis Building in Jakarta, the agreement was signed by the President Director of bankjatim, Busrul Iman, and the Director General of Treasury, Astera Primanto Bhakti. On that occasion, bankjatim also successfully won an award from the Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia as the Best Treasury Dealing Room Transaction Partner of 2024 in the Regional Development Bank category.
Busrul explained that the scope of the signed agreement covers several matters. These include the centralized distribution of salaries through the accounts of civil state apparatus / soldiers of the Indonesian National Armed Forces / members of the Indonesian National Police and state officials. In addition, it also involves the implementation of state revenue electronically through collecting agents, the management of government accounts belonging to work units within state ministries/institutions, as well as the Global Master Repurchase Agreement (GMRA) Indonesia.
”This is carried out in the framework of improving transparent, efficient, and accountable state financial management. The cooperation we are undertaking with the DJPb is part of the government's efforts to simplify and integrate state cash management through synergy between the government and financial institutions,” he explained.
Busrul also expressed his deepest gratitude for the award given to bankjatim. This success is certainly inseparable from the important role of bankjatim's loyal customers who have entrusted their financial services to bankjatim. Busrul also hopes that in the future, bankjatim's Treasury Dealing Room Transactions can continue to provide optimal services so as to support the development of treasury transactions that are more profitable while keeping the risks measurable. ”Customers who continue to believe in the products we offer are one of the pillars to keep moving forward and developing. In the future, we will continue to support the Indonesian government, provide literacy and enrich financial products, and always be by the customer's side in providing financial solutions,” said Busrul.
Meanwhile, Astera conveyed that currently, state cash management has developed rapidly with the support of modern and digital-based quality state revenue and expenditure systems. Throughout 2024, there were more than 100 million state revenue transactions (NTPN). Furthermore, the number of state expenditure transactions (SP2D) reached more than 5.6 million documents for all channeled state expenditures.
“We know our 2025 State Budget (APBN) is Rp 3,600 trillion, one-third of which is transferred to the regions. From this amount I mentioned, it is the connection between the government and banking because for this money to be usable, it must of course go through banking/non-bank financial institutions/perception institutions, both from the incoming side that will be kept by the state and at the time it is issued. So, of course, we very much expect good service from all of you so that we can all provide added value from the treasury activities conducted,” continued Astera.
