JAKARTA, October 31, 2025. PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) successfully won a prestigious award from CNN Indonesia in the category of Regional Financial Inclusion Accelerator. Located at the Ritz Carlton Jakarta, the award was presented by the President Director of CNN Indonesia, Titin Rosmasari, and received by the Director of IT, Digital & Operations of Bank Jatim, Wiweko Probojakti, on Friday night (31/10). Also present at the event were the Chairman and Founder of CT Corp, Chairul Tanjung, the Minister of Population and Family Development (Mendukbangga), Wihaji, as well as other officials.
Wiweko expressed his deepest gratitude to CNN Indonesia for the award given to Bank Jatim. “All the achievements obtained are inseparable from the hard work of all Jatimers who consistently keep the banking business running amidst tight competition. On the other hand, public trust in Bank Jatim is also part of the company's success in receiving the award from CNN Indonesia,” he explained.
According to Wiweko, the recognition from CNN Indonesia is proof that Bank Jatim's products and services have successfully received a positive reception and can be a solution for the diverse needs of the community. Bank Jatim was considered to stand out through its role as a driver of financial literacy and inclusion in East Java. This is because Bank Jatim has digital financial services that are directly connected to local government systems, MSMEs, and communities in remote areas.
Wiweko emphasized that the host-to-host integration of local taxes, international remittance services, and ATM network expansion show that Bank Jatim does not only serve transactions. It also strengthens the regional fiscal ecosystem as a whole. “This appreciation will further motivate us to continue innovating and improving Bank Jatim's banking products,” he explained.
Despite several challenges faced both externally and internally, Bank Jatim was actually able to record positive performance as of September 2025. This financial performance is a consolidation that also includes the performance of KUB members. On a consolidated basis, Bank Jatim's performance in September 2025 was quite good. Asset value stood at IDR 125.1 trillion, growing 17.3 percent from the previous year. The increase in assets mostly came from the contribution of productive assets such as an increase in credit distribution of IDR 80.2 trillion, an increase of 29% YoY, and third-party fund management of IDR 99.3 trillion, up 13.5% YoY. Based on the management of these assets, Bank Jatim was able to record a net income of IDR 5.10 trillion, an increase of 29.25% YoY.
One of Bank Jatim's strengths to support performance is the number of conventional networks spread across all corners of the regional area, supported by online digital networks to facilitate the connectivity of community financial transactions. JConnect, as Bank Jatim's digital brand, successfully experienced an increase in terms of both users and transaction utility.
Titin Rosmasari also conveyed that this award event is not just a celebration of achievement, but a celebration of the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and dedication that moves the nation. "We are here to celebrate collaboration and harmony, and to strengthen our Asta Cita spirit, the spirit for the future of the nation. Since it was first held, the CNN Indonesia Awards have become a space of appreciation for figures, institutions, and regions that inspire through work and leadership from the center to the corners of the country,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday (10/28), Bank Jatim also received an award at The Finance Top 20 Financial Institution Award & Best CFO. Bank Jatim was named a Top 20 Financial Institution 2025 in the category of banks with assets of IDR 100 trillion to < IDR 500 trillion with a "very good" rating. The award was received by the Vice President of Treasury of Bank Jatim, R. Wahyu Tedjakusuma. The award given by The Finance is a form of appreciation for company performance and the performance of financial service industry players in the last three years, from July 2023 to June 2025.
